Silver Greys & Pewter Perfection for Katie & Kevin's All Hallow's Church at Great Mitton & Mitton Hall Wedding Day
This couple are just fabulous, to say we are going to miss them would be an understatement, I looked forward to our meetings enormously, we even managed to bump into them at other peoples weddings so it was a huge delight to finally get to make Katie's exquisite bridal bouquet (It really is one of my personal favourites of the summer).
I loved the delicacies of colour and materials, the fragrance was astonishing a heady concoction of Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Freesias, David Austin's English Garden Rose Patience and a collection of Herbs including Peppermint & Oregano, if Jo Malone made a perfume like that I'd buy it in a flash!!!!
On the actual day our Ruby was in charge of the Wedding Bouquet carrying lesson, she caught up with the lovely ladies in one of the fabulous suites at Mitton Hall.
Katie of course was a natural and handled the bouquet with the sort of effortless grace you'd expect from her!

Next stop All Hallows Church at Great Mitton
This is such a magnificently ancient Church with a superb lady Vicar the lovely Jill Mack and a myriad of historical features throughout, not least a superb internal arch and exquisite "Fleur de Lys" Pews
Posies of fresh flowers were attached to each alternate pew end
Jason had dressed the interior arch and pews the evening before giving the arch time to stop dripping!
Framing either side of the front door two fabulous Bay Trees dressed with fragrant fresh white
Stocks and soft lilacy grey Astrantia
The Bumble Bees were drawn to the fresh flowers keeping them safe from the guests
Ruby lined up the Boutonnieres in anticipation of the Groom's arrival
Our super handsome Bride Groom Kevin was first to arrive with his Groom's Men
The Rather Special Groom's Boutonniere designed to mirror his Brides Bouquet included a Sprig of fresh Lily of the Valley, Rose, fresh Rosemary, fragrant Freesia, Oregano, Albiflora and Arabicum Chincherinchee, the shades toned perfectly with his silver grey suit
The Usher's Boutonnieres were a simpler design incorporating an Avalanche Rose, Oregano with a plume of Champagne Grass and Rosemary
The very glamorous Groom's Mum wearing deep blue and ivory and Corsage to match
The Groom's Mum's Corsage of Blue Cornflower, Blue Delphiniums, White Bridal Gladioli and Roses
All of the very special guests were treated to Boutonnieres
The completely fabulous Bride's Mum was wearing a very delicate corsage to compliment the style, colour and design of her jacket. We included Rolled Quick Sand Roses, Lily of the Valley and a reconstructed Calla Lily.
The lovely Bridesmaids were next to arrive looking so beautiful in their cream and pewter gowns
A delightful posy shaped smaller version of the bride's bouquet including Metalina Roses (Pale silver shaded rose), Arabicum Chincherinchee, Sweet peas, Rosemary, Lily of the Valley & Peonies. |
Katie arrived looking utterly breathtaking
Katie's wedding bouquet was created in a hand tied gathered style and included a plethora of natural loveliness in shades of soft creams, ivories and pale silvery greys, I included lots of typically English blooms with fragrance and texture, in a colour palette that really was seriously soft and Romantic:
Lily of the Valley, Peonies, Sweet Peas, Dille, Snowflake Floribunda Roses, fresh fragrant Rosemary, Oregano and Peppermint, Avalanche, White Lilac, Champagne Grass, Albiflora, Eucalyptus, Arabicum Chincherinchee, Freesia and Avalanche Roses |
Many thanks to the brilliant photographer Evan Powell for providing this beautiful image and one or two others within this posting
Huge Congratulations to the lovely Katie & Kevin from all of the team here at Flower Design Events
Everyone was ready with the confetti...
At Mitton Hall the wonderful Banqueting Manager Dave was waiting for the guests to arrive
The scene was set for the wedding breakfast with candlelit designs on each of the tables in a variety of high and low designs
The classically elegant Baroque style Candelabra was the taller option, high enough for the guests to see one another across the table
The Top table design was also illuminated by candles
The lower designs were in our silver baroque style bowls filled with fresh flowers surrounding a chunky candle
The Banqueting Room at Mitton Hall always looks superb in any colour combination!
The Bridesmaids arrived back at Mitton Hall, the Bridesmaids were still looking fabulous
The Bridesmaids Bouquets perfectly toned with their cream and Pewter gowns
Our fabulous Bride & Groom the brand new Mr & Mrs Smith!
