Joanne & Ian's Perfect Wedding Day at The Dunkenhalgh
I was so excited about Ian & Joanne's wedding day, their choice of colour was splendid; this was always going to be a colourful affair, a fabulous family occasion filled with lots of colour and laughter and happiness, the fresh flowers, though only a small part of this spectacular wedding are recorded here and I hope you'll enjoy a few of our photographs ....
Isabelle was the most perfect Flower Girl ever, she manged her flowers beautifully and performed all of her duties magnificently.
Isabelle was the most perfect Flower Girl ever, she manged her flowers beautifully and performed all of her duties magnificently.
Then to The Dunkenhalgh in Accrington, the venue for the ceremony, a really splendid location, we were looked after by Matthew throughout our time there and I have to say his attention to detail and sheer professionalism was seriously spot on.
We'd dressed the ceremony room with some fabulous designs incorporating Heliconias, Roses, Blossom & Gingers
We arranged two candelit pedestal designs on either side of the registrars table and a full and luscious arrangement on the table top Two lovely creations on the fireplace
And a couple of floor standing arrangements around the room
I included Sweet Peas, Hydrangeas, Roses & Jasmine in the pedestals
Heliconias
Then we found Ian, Joanne's handsome Groom and pinned his special buttonhole on
Ian's Boutonierre consisted of a Schwartzwalder Calla Lily & Rolled Cherry Brandy Rose petals
We included throughout the designs Black Baccara Roses
Tulips
Cherry Brandy Roses
Gingers & Pink Intuition Roses
And Schwartzwalder Calla Lilies

Joanne looked incredible
The lovely Isabelle, Isabelle's bouquet included Sweet Peas, Roses & Skimmia, I felt the Calla Lilies used in Halina & Rebecca's Bouquets would be a little too heavy.
The wedding bouquet was truly a riot of colour, I included Cool Water, Black Bacarra, Passion, Cherry Brandy, David Austin's Darcey and Pink Intuition Roses, Calla Lilies in complimentary shades, fresh Rosemary & Skimmia, I try not to use too much foliage at this time of the year, once the leaves start to appear on the trees I start including more foliages.
Reflections
So many congratulations to Joanne & Ian from all of the events team at Flower Design
Joe from specialized Cakes in Burnley created one of his masterpieces, a confection in chocolate and berries, I love Joe's work it is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to this style of cake, I have seen many imitations but never one as exquisite as this.
We arranged tall martini glasses on the tables, filled with roses, heliconias and gingers
The registrars table becomes a very intimate top table for three; Ian, Joanne & Isabelle
This was such a wonderful wedding, I feel so honoured to have been a small part of it there were many other great wedding professionals who helped bring this beautiful wedding together so here's some links to the very excellent suppliers on the day The Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Gareth Doe Photography, Specialized Cakes, Dan Kerr Bridal
