The Very English Eccentric's Wedding at St Oswald's Church, Warton, Carnforth & The Midland Hotel in Morecambe

We've had such a great time with these two gorgeous people, their wedding was utterly unique, there was just so much of "them" in it, every detail was considered, conformity ignored and a sincere desire for fun and colour, unadulterated joy was very much top of the list.

We arrived at the fabulous "Midland Hotel" in Morecambe and whilst Mike unloaded the Van, Ruby and I had the great pleasure of presenting our fabulous and very excited Bride Verity and her Bridesmaids with their bouquets, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, so we headed out on to the balcony for the FD Events Bouquet carrying lesson
Verity's Wedding Bouquet included a plethora of vibrant colour and wonderful Summer texture, deep Red Peonies, Lily of the Valley, English Garden Roses, Forget Me Nots, Craspedia, Marguerites, Oncidium Orchids, Dancing Grasses, Hydrangeas, Viburnum Opulus and Sweet Peas
The views were magnificent
Each Bridesmaid was presented with a Bouquet in a shade to match their accessories, their gowns were silvery grey with a primary coloured trim, this beautiful green bouquet included "Blanchette" Roses, Viburnum Opulus, Hydrangeas, Poppies, Peppermint, Thistles, Eucalyptus, Wheat, Thalaspi, Dianthus, Roses and lusicious Alpines.
Lovely "Lily's" yellow Bouquet included Sunflowers, Calla Lily's, Craspedia, Marguerites, Oncidiums, Sweet Peas and Roses

We handed out the Bouquets, the lovely Blue Bouquet included Blue "Harlequin" Hydrangeas, Cornflowers, blue Anemones, Eryngium Thistles, Brodeas, Forget Me Nots and Delphiniums

Our lovely Bride Verity loved her bouquet
We had a jolly time and introduced everyone to their flowers

I loved the bright vibrant colours in this spectacular wedding bouquet

Ruby, Mike & I headed out to Warton near Carnforth to this most beautiful Church of St Oswald's, this really is a very special Church and certainly worth a visit
Besides the absolute loveliness of the Church it was an absolute joy to meet up with an old friend the truly wonderful Father Damian, he used to be the Minister at St Annes Parish Church, I have sat in on many a great ceremony and loved his sermons, along with his fabulous team he gave me a bit of a guided tour of this exceptional Church...
Just behind the main building is this "Jesus Tree" when I showed this image to my family they all thought it must have been carved but it definitely isn't and the closer you get to it the less you can see
The "Jesus Tree" sits amongst Twelve healthy trees as if one had to die to save the rest...
On the front Gate we hung this gloriously colourful Floral Heart
My favourite Flower in the entire collection for this wedding is that amazing "Polka Dot" Dahlia
Our Bride Groom's top hat dressed with a garland of bright and vibrant fresh flowers
Martyn our fabulous Bride Groom looked truly amazing, his fabulous Mum had created his rather special Waistcoat and a few others too but more of that later...

Guests were equally joyously attired and a request for "Colour, Kilts & Hats" was included in their invitations

Ruby & Mike lined up all of the boutonnieres whilst I was enjoying my tour of the Church, each boutonniere was created individually and with a unique ribbon finish

Pedestals of Dephiniums, Eremurus, Sunflowers, Peonies, Dahlias, Roses and Hydrangeas
Posies of Dahlias, Sunflowers, Roses, Craspedia, Forget Me Nots and Hydrangeas

The Altar Arrangement sat on the floor and looked fab
A posy of Remembrance

At the back of Church the two wedding rings were hung from the B&G's own Phalaenopsis Orchid Plant, there was an opportunity for guests to "Warm" the Rings with their love and prayers

The lovely Flo "Usherette" was wearing a bright blue boutonniere to compliment her ensemble

I do adore this Bouquet of vibrant coloured blooms

These fabulous boys armed with hand bells created the most wonderful musical pre-cursor to the arrival of the Bridal party, walking a head of the girls they rang their bells wonderfully

The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice.
Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage.
Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur.
The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur’s cage with kind words and loving thoughts...
