A Magical New Year's Eve Wedding Day: Ewan & Laura Cobain at St Annes Church Singleton and Marquee Celebrations at Staining Golf Club

It's been such a pleasure re-visiting this modern and magical New Year's Eve wedding day, my usual habit is of course to post our Flower Design wedding news within a few days of the big day, when everything is still crystal clear in my mind and the fragrance, sights and sounds are as fresh as can be, so after a month's break I was worried that my report might be a bit, well, vague, but once I started to peruse our photographs, it all came flooding back as if it were only yesterday...

So here I am presenting the beautiful Laura with her exquisite Vanda Orchid Filigree Wedding Bouquet. I do love this part of a wedding day, when, just a for a moment it's all about the beauty of flowers!
The Bride's handsome brothers got their boutonniere's pinned on

Then it was time to get over to St Annes Church, Singleton, we illuminated the FD lanterns up the Church pathway, which incidentally had been brilliantly carpeted with black carpet by CK Marquees, this was such an excellent idea, particularly given that the weather was a little damp, delicate evening shoes and the hems of elegant gowns were beautifully protected.

Simple, classic and elegant stationary, I love it!
Inside this cosy intimate Church, the Bride had dressed the pews with wintery branches and we'd provided the pedestal design
Winter frosted branches, Avalanche Roses, Phalaenopsis Orchids, Winter Jasmine, deep purple Anemones and Singapore Orchids were arranged around a huge hurricane lamp that sat on a stone effect pedestal and urn and formed a dynamic Church focal pedestal design.

The uber handsome groom Ewan was first to arrive, you just can't beat an eager Groom, we'd created a very elaborate Filigree, Crystal and Calla Lily Boutonniere just for him, it complimented his Bride's bridal bouquet perfectly.

Candle lit porch designs created a warm welcome

The Groomsmen were un-deniably magnificent...

We'd made the Ushers stunning "White Magic" Vanda orchid filigree boutonnieres

"Here come the girls..."

The Bridesmaid's looked utterly wonderful in their silver grey evening gowns and feathery wraps, they were so perfectly finished, exquisite manicures, stunning make up and hair, stylish jewellery and truly magical flowers.

The Bridesmaid's bridal bouquets of "Purple Magic" Vanda orchids, pure white Ranunculas, winter Jasmine and deep purple Anemones, were encapsulated in silver filigree and pearl petals, perfect!

Laura's Mum looked so elegant

Lindsay & Richard with their beautiful little girl Matilda, you may remember their high summer wedding Link last year.

The Bus was fabulous

The Groom's parents

Lovely Laura's arrival...

A very proud Father of the Bride

Isn't she gorgeous!!!

Laura's wedding bouquet was so detailed, full of secrets, in the very centre of the bouquet was a glass bauble encapsulating a single fresh Orchid head, tendrils of Jasmine and winter branches were then entwined with Crystal blush Calla Lilies, White Magic & Purple Magic Vanda Orchids to partially hide the magical heart.

The Gospal Choir "Accord" were superb as ever and created a truly joyous atmosphere throughout the ceremony
Martin's service was just brilliant

Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Cobain

The wedding in its entirety was filmed by the lovely Dave Harwood And photographed by my dear friend the wonderful Jonny Draper

The celebrations then moved to the Bride's family's Golf Club at Staining where a magnificent CK Marquees, Marqee had been erected and beautifully dressed complete with seriously effecient heating...

The superb team from Rowley's Catering were ready to greet the guests with a choice of "Kir Royale" or "Baileys Hot Chocolate" delicious!

Paul Rowley welcoming the Bride & Groom

The Drinks reception was held inside the Club House

Before moving through to the marquee, we'd dressed the entrance marquee with a magnificent chandelier of Phalaenopsis Orchids, Winter branches and candle lit glass orbs.

Ben was running the event for Rowley's and managed to show the Bride and Groom their marquee before any of the guests, Perfect!

We'd used tall LSA vases filled with illuminated glittered jelly, topped with hand ties of winter branches and white Phalaenopsis Orchids, again illuminated with fairy lights and candle lit glass orbs, all in all creating a truly magical atmosphere.

The seating plan was created on winter fairy lit tree

The top table design of intertwined winter branches and Champagne glasses filled with Phalaenopsis Orchid, White Ranunculas, Roses, Bridal Crown and Paper Whites, all of which was place crisp clean mirror tiles illuminated by fairy lights and candles.

The nominated carver on each table was presented with a personalised apron

and carving set

What a beautiful Snowflake cake

I adored the sequin table cloth

The table names were hung from the table designs

Thank you so much to The Wigglesworths and The Cobains for choosing Flower Design to style and arrange the flowers for such a beautiful and memorable wedding day!!
