Richard & Marie Becconsall

These are our thoughts that inspired the flowers for Marie & Richard
The day carried with it a breeze of spontaneity and a glow of late summer romance, true and pure. Combining ideas of the new and exciting with that of the old and lasting. Using freshly picked flowers such as poppy seed heads, English garden roses & Scottish highland thistles against the heritage grown within them, the Englishness of a rose and the emblematic Scottish eryngium thistle. In addition to this, the freedom and wildness of it was highlighted by contrasting them with quite a striking and uniformed colour scheme, blues, whites, blush pinks and greens.
Similarly the warm historic nature of the church and the modern impulsiveness of the Grand, within which, we wanted to continue these notions, this time balancing the freedom of the flowers with structure and tradition. Using tall conical vases, intricately contained goldfish bowls. The overall look was to be one of controlled enchantment and captured wildness
The bouquet we created for Marie was in a “Flower Design” hand tied style with Green Hydrangea, Fresh Lily of the Valley, Avalanche & Akito Roses, Palest blush pink Cymbidium Orchids, Eryngium Thistles, Poppy seed heads & Steel Berry, The bouquet was finished with rolled aspidistra leaves, Diamante Studs and an ivory tulle handle
