~
Firstly I just wanted to say what a huge privilege it is for our FD Team to be asked to create designs for such a lovely couple, we've known them both for many years and the lovely Tom since he was a little boy and what a huge credit he and his brother Sam are to their parents, Hannah is quite simply beautiful and an absolute joy to work with, I felt quite emotional on Sunday when I saw her in her stunning gown.
Our flower journey began with a beautifully detailed mood board created by Tom and Hannah, we discussed their ideas and arranged to get together again to present them with a set of sample bridal designs
The plan was simple, we were to use two flower varieties only Hydrangeas and Gypsophilia, we selected the 'Rolls Royce' of both blooms using exquisite White Verena Hydrangeas from a superb grower Sonneveld. We tried out a number of different Gypsophilias for these samples and decided on  Par Xcellence Gypsohphilia..
We made samples of each design including the garland to go around the Bar in Cafe Grand...
Huge Balls of Gypsophilia and Hydrangeas were created for Tom, Hannah & both of their Mum's Mandy & Marie to see
Clusters of candles surrounded by Gypsophilia for the entrance to The Grand
Pew End Pomanders
The sample Bridal Bouquet featured a single Hydrangea head surrounded by Gypsophilia
A sample boutonniere for Tom was a miniature version of the bridal bouquet, bound with black satin to match his dinner jacket's lapels

Our suggestion for the Top Table

At last the week of the wedding arrived we'd ordered 1800 stem of Gypsophilia and 750 stems of Hydrangeas to arrive on Wednesday and a further 250 Hydrangeas to arrive on Friday

The Hydrangea from Sonneveld is on the left and a more normal sized Schneeball Hydrangea on the right, there really is no comparison
Work commenced in our studio with our team making and creating
The Pew End & Bridesmaid's Pomanders were being made on our 'Washing Line'

The chiller was filling up

These beautiful designs were for the 'Rehearsal Cocktail Party' the evening before at The Groom's family home...
A gorgeous wreath of fresh Gypsophilia dressed Mandy's front door
The following morning at 6am Jason & I were at The Grand dressing the bar before the first hotel guests were down for breakfast...
By 8am we were at St Cuthbert's dressing the Lytch Gate with a glorious garland of fresh Gypsophilia

By 9am we were back at FD HQ to box up the Bridal Bouquet and Bridesmaid's Pomanders
Ahead of presenting the bouquets at the Bride's Mum's home just down the road from Church
Marie's front door was also dressed with a wreath of Gypsophilia
We showed the Bridesmaid's how to carry their Pomanders 'like handbags'
Then to St Cuthbert's to arrange the flowers inside Church

Two giant Gypsophilia balls framed the front door
The foot and the head of the aisle were both dressed with collections of Gypsophilia and Hydrangea Balls

In the porch we lined up the boutonnieres ready to pin them on
Hannah's super handsome Bride Groom Tom was first to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel
We pinned on the boutonnieres on all of Tom's Groom's Men, Josh was first...
