Bolton School Wedding for Lauren & Graeme with an 'Old School' Theme, Spectacular Images Courtesy of Tim Emmerton Photography

We were just so excited about this wedding, Jason & I met up with Lauren & Graeme and the super ace Tim Emmerton at Bolton School way back in March, we had a fabulous guided tour of this splendid school, it's safe to say all of us were absolutely giddy with enthusiasm.
~
Lauren & Graeme produced a brilliant Mood Board with bags of colour and tons of information, their plans were for a wedding where the school setting was fully embraced,  bright innocent colour, 'Subject' table names with table designs to match, it was all very exciting. We made a set of fabulous sample designs for them to see and before we knew it the big day had arrived..

Our Josie & John were the lucky FD Events Team that headed off to Bolton to present the Bridal Bouquets to our gorgeous Bride and her Bridesmaids, Tim Emmerton was recording all of the magic, huge thanks to him for all of these wonderful images.
The Bridal Bouquets were just gorgeous created from a vibrant array of summer blooms Peonies, Sweet Peas, Freesia, Gloriosa Lilies, Lily of the Valley, English Garden Roses, Dahlias, fresh herbs and grasses amid a fragrant array of other meadow blooms.

The Bouquets were all quite individual and unique

Love this simple Boutonniere of Freesia, Hydrangea florets and Love in the Mist
 Flower Girl's Magic Wand Bouquet
Gorgeous Bridesmaid's Bouquet with a wild and hand gathered spirit
I'd included Peonies in Pinks, Corals, Ruby and Ivory shades
The playful grasses and Gloriosa buds add movement to the bouquets
The gorgeous Bridesmaids were wearing midnight blue gowns and looked just lovely

Everyone made their way over to the fabulous and grand surroundings of Bolton School

The absolutely adorable little Flower Girl carried a posy of fresh flowers around a magic wand
Gorgeous junior Bridesmaid carried a slightly smaller bouquet than the adult maids
The Boys looking seriously smart all suited and booted, our Josie pinned on all of the Boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly. We'd individually created them in a unique style

Lauren's super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Graeme was of course first to have his rather special boutonniere pinned in place
Graeme's Boutonniere was larger and more important than the others perfect for his role as Bride Groom , we'd included a Juliet Rose from David Austin, Sweet Peas, Gloriosa Petals, Craspedia, Cornflowers, Lily of the Valley and Grasses

Boutonniere of Grasses, Rose Buds and Gloriosa bound and tied with jute

Boutonniere of Gloriosa, Nigella and Cornflower, bound with jute, natural stems were left showing

A Boutonniere of deep violet Lissianthus, Freesia and Rose buds with Senecio and Panicum

A Boutonniere of Grasses, Eryngium Thistle, Freesia and Love in the Mist
Inside Bolton School Hall the scene was set for a grand and magnificent marriage ceremony
We'd chosen to use our Baroque Candelabras to frame the ceremony to reflect the shape of the school organ pipes
The space is both cavernous but strangely intimate too

A traditional candlelit table design took centre stage and looked perfect in this setting
Trails of fresh Passion Flower softened the Candelabras on their pedestals beautifully

Our beautiful Bride arrived in vintage style and oh what a spectacular backdrop Bolton School is.
 Lauren looked breathtakingly beautiful
Elegant perfection
The Bridal Bouquet was full and voluptuous with a myriad of colour and texture just perfect for Lauren's gown

Huge Congratulations to Lauren & Graeme from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The celebrations moved across the courtyard to the dining hall at Bolton School where a fabulous wedding breakfast was served in a truly magical setting
Our Bride & Groom loved having a few moments in their Wedding Breakfast Room to take in all of the details to see their plans in reality...
On the 'Sex Ed' Table we'd used one of the Baroque Candelabras from the ceremony, we added a collection of 'Birds & Bees' hanging from the candelabra and in and amongst the flowers

The Geography Table included Maps and Globes, compasses ars from different countries

On the English Table stacks of old books, scrabble pieces spelled out relevant words like Love & Marriage, fresh flowers in jars dressed with hearts cut out of printed Sonnets, lots of glorious blooms completed the look perfectly

On the Art Table, each guest had a miniature easel and canvas at their place, a pot of colouring pencils was provided so each person could create their own piece of art, a ginger bowl filled with paint brushes and and entire paint palette of fresh flowers created a great look

The Home Economics Table was one of my favourites, I loved all the details on this one the knitting needles, the sewing patterns, over sized buttons, mixing bowls and whisks, reels of cotton and a plethora of fresh flowers

Our Josie showed them their top table design the 'Head Master's Table'
The Top Table was a combination of all of the subjects

The Music Table

Our work here was done it was time to leave the party in full swing, many thanks to Graeme & Lauren for choosing Flower Design to create their wedding flowers for them.
Huge thanks to the fabulous Tim Emmerton for all of these gorgeous images
