Afternoon Tea Demonstration at Lytham Hall "Vintage Flora"

Welcome to one of our now world famous "Afternoon Tea Flower Demonstrations", at Lytham Hall, we entertained fifty lovely ladies with an afternoon of Champagne, Flowers and delicious Cakes, wonderful friends, anecdotes and a little bit of raising money for Trinity Hospice in the Fylde. The scene was set with exquisite vases of English Roses all of David Austin's finest, hand delivered to Flower Design by the great man himself only yesterday.

The girls began to arrive here's Sue & Elaine

Ben from Rowleys Catering was opening bottles of Champagne

Jo Bottomley & Myself

Diane Dearden, me & one of my closest friends Sue McKenna

My great friend Janet Fenton with her fabulous shoes

Our ladies took their seats in the exceptionally beautiful Gold Room
Ben, Dan, Lucy (Who managed to avoid the camera) and Paul were ready to serve the most excellent afternoon tea. But first Paul & I welcomed our guests, introduced our team and Paul gave us all a brilliant history lesson and then we were off and running...

First design was the lovely Vintage Bird Cages which Jason showed around our audience

I don't know who got the most attention Jason or the David Austin Roses

Our lovely friend Sue Jukhoop

Janet "taking in" the beautiful fragrance of David Austin's Patience Rose.

The vintage bird cages filled with scented roses, veronica and foliages.

I used Roses; Patience (white), Juliet (Apricot), Miranda (mid pink) Rosalind (deep pink)

Rachel one of our senior designers at Flower Design had prepared everything for my demonstration, from the containers to the flowers I used, she really did a fabulous job of following my random direction, thanks Rach' you're a star!

A "Floral Afternoon Tea Set", Rosemary one of our event florist's brought in the divine cups and saucers, we wanted to match the flowers to the paintings on the crockery and these cups and saucers were simply perfect, thanks Rosie they looked fab.

I used Molucella, Miranda Roses and Pink Ranunculas, White Phlox and Alchemilla Mollis

Then to the Vintage Vases of antique shaded Roses, Peonies, Hydrangeas, Celosia and jewels.
The vases were covered with bronze vintage bugle beads

The Victoria Sponge Cake made entirely of flowers by Rachel was a great hit I finished it off with some Pale pink Calla Lilies, Roses and Peonies.

And finally our "Moss torso" complete with pearl necklaces and floral corsage.I used a combination of Crystal Blush Callas, Veronica and Juliet and Patience Roses.

The raffle winners Tricia Allen won the Bird Cage

Lisa Drazen won one of the bugle bead vases

And Diane Dearden the other Bird cage.

We had lots of

other winners of course and we are massively grateful to everyone for their generosity a cheque will be winging it's way to the Hospice forthwith.
