Samlesbury Hall, Civil Ceremony, Wedding of Chris & Emma Walmsley

The weather was totally perfect for such a special wedding day and Samlesbury Hall looked utterly magnificent.
The girls were all getting ready in The Bridal Lodge at Salmesbury, which is a perfectly self contained gate lodge a stones throw away from the main building.

Jason did the Flower Design bouquet holding lesson and pinned on Jan's corsage.
A beautiful Flaming Parrot Tulip in one of the designs. Everything was spot on from the glorious "Rolls Royce Phantom" to the amazing photography team of Steve & Stephanie Ashton.

“Blue Bell Wood”

These are our thoughts and inspirations behind the planning of Emma & Chris's wedding day.

The colours are to be bright and bold, Deep Rich Reds, Bright Blues, Vivid yellows and mellow soft ivories, fresh greens and hints of lavender.

I wanted to recreate a wild wood and lovely spring garden atmosphere using lots of woodland materials such as Blue Bells, Forget me nots and Mosses, to re-create the feeling of the blue bell wood next to your home.

Samlesbury Hall has strong design features the fabulously vivid stained glass windows, the bold wooden beams and masculine panelling, Minstrels galleries and Portraits.

Consequently the flowers for both ceremony and more particularly in the dining room need to be tall and bold
