Wainwright's Walks & Lake District Romance for Rachel & Gary's Colourful Merewood Wedding Day

The perfect wedding day takes a huge amount of planning and loads of love and support from friends and family, this gorgeous wedding had both planning and friends and family in abundance.
We first met up for an initial appointment months ago, we chatted through lots of ideas but always came back to their love of the Lake District and more importantly the famous Wainwrights walks, they had walked them all and Gary had proposed to Rachel at the top of Castle Crag, their stunning wedding venue The Merewood Country House Hotel overlooks Lake Windermere and is set in the most beautiful grounds, so our plans developed and our flowers became a celebration of their love for each other and the blissful countryside of the English Lake District...
~
Rachel & Gary's fabulous Mood Board complete with references to Wainwright and a plethora of brightly coloured flowers, swatches of Gary's tartan and the pink of the Bridesmaid's gowns were included, we recorded their entire brief in a shared on line document that ensures we're all singing from the same hymn sheet, it includes every detail even a list of their suppliers so that we can follow anything up that needs more detail, we discovered they'd booked the iconic Lake District photographer Tiree Dawson and the legendary DJ Gary Mills so we knew we were in for a great day...
Rachel and her Mum Andrea & Bridesmaid Verity came in to our FD Studio to view the sample designs we'd created, including a voluptuous Bridal Bouquet of English flowers, bound in Gary's own tartan

We'd made a rather splendid Boutonniere including lots of the lovely elements used in Rachel's wedding bouquet
