Summer Fete Vibe for Jamie & Kirstie's Silverdale Church & Grange Hotel Wedding Day

Jamie & Kirstie are such a great couple and we had a fabulous time working with them both and of course Kirstie's lovely Mum Val, when our Bride & Groom brought in their stunning Mood Board I was so inspired I wanted to make the sample designs right there and then.
~
Their beautiful Mood Board was fabulous it included all of the vital information required to create a stunning set of sample designs. The Mood Board can be in any format though proper card versions are our favourite and the size doesn't matter at all, some of the best ones are quite small. Kirstie provided images of the Bridal gown and the Grooms suit with tie information, a sample of the Wedding Stationery was also on there as were, lots of images of all of the splendid details, Val had made all of the bunting and samples of this were displayed on the mood board, they also had a good few images of flowers and designs that they wanted us to include.

As a result two sample Bridal Bouquets were created this one on the day they came in with the Mood Board it included lots of fragrant herbs, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, English Garden Roses, Love in the Mist and Peonies with fresh Brodea

The second version a few weeks later was this lovely Bouquet of garden gathered fragrant Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, English Garden Roses,a, Astrantia, Astilbe, White Hydrangeas, Peonies, Phlox, Vintage Roses, Amnesia, Bombastic and Memory Lane, Gypsophilia, Eryngium, Nigella and a collection of herbs including Umbrella Fern,  Peppermint, Oregano, Rosemary and Chamomile Monte casino completed the bouquet, the handle was bound with hessian and lace and the stems were left semi naked

A table design suggestion was also put together with stacks of Kirstie's vintage books, buttons and pieces of bark for a wild and eclectic look, each table would have a book heart under one of our glass cloches

Finally the Big Day arrived, Jason & I were up bright and early with the van all loaded before 7am for a slow trip up to the Lakes with our precious cargo of flowers, we were at Grange Hotel in Grange over Sands by 10 am setting up for the Wedding Breakfast before heading upstairs to one of the lovely suites to present our beautiful Bride Kirstie with her Wedding Bouquet
I showed everyone how to carry their Bouquets before we headed off to Silverdale to dress the Church

St John's Church in Silverdale is such a lovely Church we received a warm welcome there which is always great
We filled Val's Milk Churns with a plethora of fresh flowers and used them to frame the front door
Fresh Delphiniums, Larkspur, Peonies, Roses and Hydrangeas were arranged to create a fragrant welcome for the guests as they arrived
We lined up the detailed Boutonnieres ready to pin them onto the Bride Groom and guests as they arrived
A Mentha Rose with Rolled Amnesia Rose petals, Astrantia, Oregano, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Forget Me Nots and Love in the Mist were all included in the Bride Groom's Boutonniere which was bound with jute and finished off with vintage button.

The Groom's men's Boutonnieres were slightly simpler and all included a unique collection of blooms used in the Bride's Bouquet, in this one we've included fresh Rosemary, Eucalyptus, an Amnesia Rose with Love in the mist, they were all bound with jute and finished with a vintage button

Huge & Ginormous Congratulations to Kirstie & Jamie from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Kirstie and her Bridesmaids were wearing fresh flowers in their hair to compliment their Bouquets

Once everyone had congratulated our Bride & Groom the guests headed back into Church for a Champagne, Shortbread and Strawberry reception, giving us the opportunity of getting the fresh flowers up to Grange over Sands before the guests got there, we loved this idea, besides the fact that it looked gorgeous, everyone was ready for a drop of fizz and some sweet treats.

We do love working at this splendid Lake District Hotel, Grange Hotel really is a gem of a venue, the team there are just sublime, they really look after everyone beautifully

Val's fabulous bunting dressed the entrance, we'd brought up from Church the watering cans and pales created by Val to dress the entrance
This is such a grand space and it always looks different, it really does lend itself to any style of decor, and Val's fabulous bunting again came to fore softening the top table perfectly

Posies of fresh Roses, Peonies, Hydrangea and fresh herbs were arranged in a series of individually dressed bottles and jars set on stacks of books, with pieces of bark and sprinkles of vintage buttons, floating candles illuminated table whilst the glass cloches over the 'heart books' added texture

Our Verdi Gris Candelabras looked equally at home on the dining tables as they had in the Church
Collections of Bottle, Jars and various vessels were filled with fresh flowers and formed the centrepiece for each table

The beautiful cake was surrounded by posies of fresh Hydrangeas

Our work here was done, it'd been a very long day, time to make our way home and where a soak in hot bath would be in order, leaving the party in full swing we passed our Bride & Groom on the main road looking blissfully happy, huge thanks to them for choosing Flower Design to create their wedding flowers for them
