The Epic & Spectacular Wedding of Lucy & Daniel Cuffe at Thornton Manor

This truly is an epic wedding of block buster proportions, I am lucky enough to have been friends with the utterly fabulous Bride's Mum the lovely Gail, she used to work with the legendary photographer Chris Astbury, she really knows her jelly beans when it comes to weddings, and I've loved working alongside her for more years than I'm sure we both care to recall. So what a huge joy it was to get a call from her to say she was soon to be 'Mother of the Bride' a role we all knew she'd embrace with aplomb!!!!

Gail, Lucy & I met up a good couple of years ago to have a brainstorming session, I suggested a few venues Gail hadn't worked at, visits were planned along with the fabulous Bride Groom Daniel and a decision was made. Thornton Manor was booked and we planned a site visit a year to the day prior to the Big Day, our floral plans began to evolve.
Lucy & Dan got busy booking some of the very best professionals in the business including the wonderful Spencer Cartwright from Repartage photography, we always have a the very best of days when we're working with him,  the super fabulous Sonara Parker mua and hair magician Mairead from Wedlocks were responsible for ensuring the bridal party looked perfect,  Lucy's gown was from Amelia's in Clitheroe and the Bridesmaid's gowns were from Fairytale Brides in Manchester,  Silverback Events Crew were ace, the lovely Jill Wilson from 'Just for you bespoke Wedding Cakes' did a sensational job, AJ Brown sung beautifully throughout the ceremony, Jim from Centreline Films was capturing every second, the Deadbeats did what they do best and entertained everyone, thank you for feeding us the brilliant Michelle and all of the team from Barrett's Event Caterers.

Next came the magnificent Mood Board prepared by Lucy & Dan, it inspired us to create some wonderful sample designs for the happy couple and before we knew where we were the big day was upon us.....
The evening before was the big rehearsal dinner 30 of Lucy & Dan's nearest and dearest were gathered to celebrate the commencement of celebrations, we'd dressed the 'Downton Abbey' style dining table with our Baroque Candelabras
Each Candelabra was swathed in a garland of luscious and fragrant Roses, Stocks and Hydrangeas
Early the following morning the Flower Design team headed out in two of our vans loaded up with floral magnificence, Ruby and I had the great honour of presenting our gorgeous Bride and her lovely Bridesmaids with their glorious Bridal Bouquets

We'd managed to acquire the very last of the season's Peonies especially for the lovely Lucy who adores their voluptuous form, we'd teamed these with sweet scented Lily of the Valley, English Garden Roses and Sweet Peas
The Bridal Bouquet was in soft vintage pink shades, a heady sweet fragranced Bouquet of all of our Flower Design favourites, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Peas, Peonies and Garden Roses from David Austin

The moment of handover was an emotional one...
