The Magnificent Wedding Day of Liz & Stuart at The Grange Hotel in Grange Over Sands

This really was an absolutely glorious wedding, we love Liz & Stuart and we'll miss them both dreadfully, the day started early, Josie, Mike, Jason & I were all loaded up and ready to leave FD HQ by 7:30am, we headed up to Grange Over Sands taking it easy with our precious cargo of beautiful wedding blooms.
We had been up to visit The Grange Hotel a few months earlier way back in April at the start of the season and we were blown away then by the majesty of the building, the interior was immaculate not a scuff on the paintwork or a single thing out of place and it was just as perfect this weekend at the other end of the season and you just can't beat a well maintained wedding venue!!!!
They usually have arrangements of good quality silk flowers in these huge urns but they didn't compliment Liz & Stuart's colour scheme so the C&B team had very kindly removed them for us so that we could place our own Flower Design Events fresh designs in their place
We used lots of seasonal foliages, fragrant Eucalyptus, Quercus, Monstera and Ivy with lovely Oriental Lilies, Roses, Hydrangeas and palms in these ginormous urns
The chairs lining the aisle were finished off with a posy of fragrant Roses, Hydrangeas and Ivy

At the entrance and at the back of the Room beautiful free standing designs of Roses, Hydrangeas and Orchids dripping with strings of pearls greeted guests as they arrived

Josie & I headed upstairs to the most perfect suite of rooms for a Bride and her maids to get ready in, lots of light, floor to ceiling mirrors and plenty of space, we presented the lovely Liz with her exquisite posy of Lily of the Valley and delicate Rose Buds
I introduced Liz to all of the Roses in her bouquet, the colours toned with the Bridesmaid's gowns beautifully
Liz's stunning Jenny Packham gown from Mears Ghyll Bridal Rooms in Lancaster
The adorable flower girl the lovely Zara would be throwing fresh petals from a basket as she walked down the aisle ahead of our beautiful Bride, to complete her look we'd made a gorgeous little Wrist Corsage for her

Back in the ceremony room we'd lined up all of the Boutonnieres ready to pin them all on to the Groom's Men
I pinned these lovely Cream Vendella, Gracia Creme and Snowflake Rose Boutonnieres in place

The great folks from Creative Cover Hire had provided the Chair Covers and Ivory Carpet runner we lit our candles lining the aisle and sprinkled fresh fragrant Rose petals around each lantern
Posies of fresh flowers and candlelit lanterns dressed the fireplace
The Ceremony Room at The Grange Hotel, Grange Over Sands looked absolutely stunning

Lanterns, Fresh flower posies and Tea Light Votives lined the corridor leading down to the Ceremony Room

We created a traditional candlelit Registrars table design with fabulous Orchids, Delphiniums, Roses and Hydrangeas

Our Josie had rounded up the Bride Groom and Best Man so that I could pin on their Boutonnieres
The totally fabulous Bride Groom Stuart, I pinned on his Boutonniere of fresh fragrant Lily of the Valley, Mentha Rose with Bombastic and Gracia Creme Rose Buds

Lee, Stuart's erstwhile Best Man who really did a great job of looking after Stuart (keeping him out of mischief!!!)

Our Candlelit Hurricane Lamps are very tall and look seriously romantic

The C&B team at The Grange were quite simply brilliant Brian & Peter and all of the team looked after everyone brilliantly and nothing ever seemed like it was a trouble to them, we were offered drinks and generally made to feel very welcome as I am sure all the guests did too!!!

This was a bit of a Deja Vu moment for Rich and I as I'd pinned his Boutonniere on at his own wedding at Mitton Hall a couple of years ago here's a link to that fabulous day

Our breathtakingly beautiful Bride the lovely Liz made her way down the stairs to meet up with her Dad to take her down the aisle

Liz's Bridal Bouquet was as dainty as Liz herself with a plethora of tiny Rose buds in delicate shades of Nude, Cream and Taupe with fresh sweet scented Lily of the Valley it looked perfect with her Jenny Packham gown
In the ceremony room everyone waited patiently
Even Stuart waited patiently....

First in, the totally gorgeous Sky & Rich...
Hayley and her beau were next...
Then the uber handsome Oli bearing the Rings
The lovely Zara with her basket of Rose Petals sprinkling them up the aisle just ahead of our beautiful Bride

The Grange Canapes looked delicious

Whilst the guests were enjoying drinks, canapes and confetti a transformation was taking place, the ceremony room was being turned into a magnificent banqueting hall with glorious Crystal Candlesticks and cake stands dressing the tables, all topped with voluptuous designs of Roses, Orchids and Hydrangeas

The Wedding Cake from Blackberry Cottage Bakery looked so beautiful
We'd dressed the cake with a floral topper and a garland of fresh Roses, Lily of the Valley and Hydrangeas

We loved all of the personal details throughout, Liz & Stuart really had put their all into it

We'd left a dressed vase for our Bride to put her bouquet in whilst she ate her wedding breakfast

How fabulous does the dining room at The Grange Hotel look???

Around the base of each of the tall designs we'd arranged posies of fresh flowers to decorate the table top
I invited our Bride & Groom to be the first to see the transformation and they loved it!!!!

Liz & Stuart were an absolute joy to work with I have enjoyed every second, the three huge pedestal designs were taken to Trinity Hospice on the Fylde yesterday with the compliments of our Bride & Groom they now decorate the chapel, helping to share the love of these two very special people!!!!
