The Spectacular Dove Grey & Apricot Wedding of Marsha & Ian at Worsthorne Church & Houghton Tower

This Wedding was such a joy, we had some of the best appointments ever, discovering Maltese traditions and the heritage of Hoghton Tower, the fabulous taste of the lovely Marsha and her amazing Mother in Law, I hope you'll enjoy this posting as much as I've enjoyed putting it together...
Jason was presenting our gorgeous Bride and Bridesmaids with their bouquets early on a wedding day showered with blessings from above, umbrellas were the number one accessory for the day but it didn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm for a splendid and magical wedding day!!!
In line with Maltese "Flora" I included lots of tiny Rock & Mountain plants, Lavender, Albifloras and Olive foliages to bring our own English Heritage into the fusion English Roses were used in a huge variety of shapes and sizes adding definition and texture to the design

I loved the rich apricot shades alongside the soft pearl greys giving the overall look a warming glow
Our super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Ian, who was wearing a boutonniere to compliment his Brides Bouquet, fragrant Lily of the Valley & Rolled Rose Petals surrounding a voluptuous white Rose

Our Bride Groom with his super proud and truly lovely Mum

Huge Congratulations to Marsha & Ian from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The celebrations moved on to the magical surroundings of Hoghton Tower , from the bottom of the drive the Tower itself was hidden in the clouds creating an even more magical and ethereal atmosphere, we illuminated the way with a series of candlelit lanterns lining the steps and the pathway all the way up to the front door!
How amazing the string quartet were playing under one of the arches serenading the guests as they arrived, a seriously atmospheric and magical moment (The Leighton-Jones String Quartet)

Inside Hoghton Tower the fires were roaring and candlelit lanterns together with posies of fresh flowers were placed on all of the ledges and tables
Our Birdcage Card Collector set into a garden of fresh flowers
In the Great Hall a fabulous collection of candlelit designs greeted the guests

To compliment the colour scheme we used our "Verdi Gris" Candelabras and Bird Baths all filled with a glorious array of warming peach and apricot blooms together with the soft greys of the Alpine plant materials, the lavender and Roses created a heavenly scent in the room!
The Bird Bath design was surrounded by tall elegant Candles in pewter candlesticks
The Magnificent Top Table steeped in History was the exact Table where King James I is said to have knighted a particularly tasty loin of beef during a meal at Hoghton Tower, in 1617, hence creating the sirloin of Beef we enjoy on a particularly good Sunday lunch.
This design adds to the majesty of the table, a plethora of fresh flowers and foliages stretching the full length of the table illumintaed by candles

The wedding cake was sat on its very own floral mound on atable in one of the Bay window spaces

This really is a magical space

Our Very Happy Bride & Groom get to see the Great Hall before any of the guests...

The very beautiful Bride & Groom
