My First Posting of 2013 the Fabulous Samlesbury Hall Wedding of Susie & Russell, Including Lots of Beautiful Images from The Lovely Charlotte Boothman

This is a spectacular wedding at a magical venue, Susie and her lovely Mum had such a great brief: An all white Ceremony and then vibrant colour for the reception, I was asked to select flowers with particular significance, perhaps a different colour for each table they said, I suggested using the colours in the magnificent stained glass window in The Great Hall at Samlesbury Hall, our muse you might say, and so our shared thoughts and ideas were developed and this, my first posting of 2013, is the product of our imaginations and endeavour.

Huge thanks to my great friend the lovely and seriously talented Charlotte Boothman of Lottie Designs for supplying a huge number of the splendid images on this posting, they have enabled me to tell this flower story so much more thoroughly than I ever could have done without them, I hardly think it's necessary to point out which ones are hers as it is glaringly obvious.....

In Susie's wedding bouquet we used a beautiful collection of Ivory Roses, fragrant Lily of the Valley, Sweet William, Eucalyptus and scented Rosemary
Ruby did the all important wedding bouquet carrying lesson

The Bride Groom's Boutonniere matched his Bride's lovely bouquet, an Avalanche Rose with Sweet William, Lily of the Valley, fragrant Rosemary and Eucalyptus completed the simply elegant design

The scene was set in the Great Hall with two of our fabulous Baroque style candelabras framing the ceremony space, posies of fresh flowers attach to each alternate chair dressing the aisle and magnificent Hurricane Lamps illuminating the aisle

The ambience was completed by the beautiful string quartet

Samlesbury Hall's own Candelabras were dressed with fresh ivy
