Christmas Afternoon Tea Demonstration in Association with David Austin Roses

Welcome to the magnificent Lytham Hall, where our Huge Christmas Door Wreath looked positively tiny!
~
These beautiful photographs are all taken by our great friend Jonny Draper
Paul Rowley has his own collection of Vintage Cups & Saucers which looked perfect on the tables

The Gold Room as always looked quite splendid

We'd dressed the marble tables with two lovely candleabras dressed with fresh orchids & Skimmia

The guests started to arrive Janet & Karen looking very festive

The totally brilliant Howard Wing entertained the ladies & gents whilst they sipped their mulled wine in the entrance hall

Chef Paul Rowley prepared our gourmet afternoon tea

The tiny cakes were delicious

We created some seasonal floral cakes with no calories!

There was a great deal of frivolity and little dancing before we got down to the business of
Afternoon Tea
I started off with a Fireplace arrangement

It looked perfect on one of the Fireplaces
And everyone seemed to like it

Howard & I joined in with a tiny bit of eating and who wouldn't?
Then he sang to me which was lovely...
Then we danced...
And danced....
And then it was over aah
Then we were marked out of 10
Then I moved on to the Hearth arrangement

I included David Austin Roses,Pink Orchids, Nerines, Hyacinth and seasonal evergreens
Emily & Miranda so very, very gorgeous

This was my favourite, our alternative Christmas centrepiece
With beautiful White Hellebores (Christmas Roses) arranged around the perfect jewel of a Rose David Austin's Juliet

Encased within a glass bell "Beauty & The Beast Style"
Extremely elegant & lovely Katie from David Austin Roses
The uber-gorgeous Chriss from The Great Hall at Mains
Gregarious Janet from The Graham Fenton Experience
Glamarous Adele from The Great Hall at Mains
Ben From Rowleys

I sang a little which really wasn't good

Tina from RowleysChris Shaw

Glorious Darcey Roses by David Austin
The Fireplace design looked really majestic
Paul Rowley brought out the cakes

Paul is a bit of heart throb himself, now can you all imagine having Paul, Howard, Jonny, Ben oh yes & Jason in the same room, there was also a gorgeous French Man Philippe from David Austin but for some reason Jonny hasn't photographed him perhaps the competition was too great!
But perhaps he isn't quite as popular as his cakes!Or ours

The table centres were created with David Austin Roses, Anthuriums & Orchids
Jason & Jess sold raffle tickets with proceeds going to The Hospice Howard Wing really is truly tremendous a king amongst singers, we love him lots!

All too soon it was over, we had a thoroughly excellent time , many thanks to David Austin Roses, Paul Rowley Rowleys Catering, Howard Wing, Our Jess she worked so hard to put all of this together and we couldn't have done it without her! Huge big thanks to Jonny Draper for the photographs which are superb.

Jane, thank you so much for inviting us from The Great Hall at Mains, we had a fab time! You are such a natural 'showman' and comedienne...we were rolling in the aisles at some of your comments [ the penis ferns ... whatever..??] Your floral christmasy displays were superb, as always, and I even won one in the raffle !
Look forward to the next one if you'll have us - our table was definitely the loudest and most raucous - apologies! Adele and Chriss -
