JR Taylors Fashion Floor Launch

I think they've done it! brought JR Taylors into the 21st Century that is, it looks like a really up market store, inviting, tantalizing and welcoming, this is the view as you walk through the front door, absolutely glorious, the staff on the perfumery counters are quite lovely they adored the flowers we put in (which I have to say is the way we flower folk judge people), besides that though they were greeting customers, smiling faces and eager to help (A bit different from the JR Taylors of yester year, I know people who used to be scared of going in)But the most amazing transformation has taken place on the top floor "Ladies Fashion" now this is truly inspirational, the merchandising is done perfectly (Anyone whose watched "Mary Queen of Shops" will know this). They have all the great brands from Chloe to Armani, Ted Baker to Olsen and many, many more, Rebecca and her marvelous team have created something of a shoppers paradise. http://www.jrtaylor.co.uk/
Carol has been at JR Taylors forever, she has always been stylish and absolutely on trend but now she looks like she's in the right environment, the setting is spot on and reflects her excellent taste. (She uses a first class florist too)

My only critisism is the sizes "That old chestnut" I hear you skinny minnies cry, but this is where I have a problem with shopping for clothes at JR's nothing fits, I am a generous 16 sometimes 18 but I'd rather not admit to it, perhaps I should treat this as inspiration and diet harder afterall I'd give my hind teeth to buy some of those beautiful clothes!

Anyway what ever your size it's worth going and having a look they have some fabulous flowers up there! and the accessories are beautiful too and if you take the stairs (Lifts are available) you could be a size 12 by the time you get there.
I tried to get some preview shots with some of the clothes on but I realise my pictures really haven't done it justice. Rachel our shop manager is really thrilled with the Ted Baker collection she used to have to trawl out to Manchester for the full range.
St. Annes is a fabulous place to shop, you can buy almost anything, so this is the place to start your Christmas shopping! Count down to Christmas 2008... only 76 Days, 10 Hours, 8 Minutes, and 15 Seconds! Shopping Days Left ...

I went to launch, what a great night, loved your flowers Jane, especially the one when you go in, i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks that about the sizes, there is some beautiful clothes and you are right we should all shop as locally as we can, keep the money in the Fylde. Love your blog, and i'm chuffed i've worked out how to comment. love Muriel xx

I am not alone, do you think they do these makes in larger sizes or do they stop at 14? let us know if you find out. I really like the blog too, a voice for the over 30's any way keep up the good work, i have also just conquered the commenting thing. See you on the 20th love Sharon.
I know you girls are all feeling really clever now you can post a comment, but i changed the settings so that you didn't need a google account, but thanks Muriel & Sharon for signing off at least I know who you are! I promise I will find out more from Rebecca regarding sizes and will post more as and when I found out. Thanks for reading & Commenting I really appreciate it.

I'm so disappointed to have missed this event ( was on holiday) and I too would love to shop at JR's new fashion department but whoops the size problem applies to me as well I'm sure there are enough of us so that the buyers will have to consider us!
Flowers look fabulous as always.

You are very brave Jane, I never thought you were that big you must hide it well! any way I've tried for more years than I care to remember to get them to stock bigger girls clothes. I now just enjoy looking at them with my very slender daughter, she unfortnately can't aafford them so I treat her now and then, suppose I should say flowers were great but then I knew they would be. Thank you ladies for your interest and subsequent e-mails on this subject, I am not sure if Rebecca has had time to read the blog yet this is I assume why she has not commented but Sally is ringing her later today so hopefully she will comment.

Wow what a fantastic write up! Well done Jane and the photos are good too! I haven't been in the store for a while and hadn't realised they had had a refurbishment so will be popping in this week.
