Relaxed Country Chic, Fragrant Lavender & Wild Herbs for Claire & Luke at St Michael's Church & The Inn at Whitewell

This was such a super stylish wedding in one of the most glorious settings on earth! I do so love The Inn at Whitewell, it's just beautiful, the views, the service, the food everything is on point, as a result my heart swells when I have wedding there and when I'm there with seriously stylish folks like Claire & Luke, well that's just a Billy bonus, making my job the most wonderful job in the world to have...

~
Claire & Luke (Probably just Claire but hey) made this gorgeous mood board to help inspire us, to show their ideas and the vibe and atmosphere they were aiming to create with a little help from us.

We had a spectacular time creating a set of sample designs for them to see, bringing to life their dreams...
We made a sample bridal bouquet for Claire to try out
We made a sample Boutonniere for Luke to see
Tall elegant vase designs

A suggestion for the top table
 Ideas for the guest tables
Pew end Posies for the Church
A suggestion for the seating plan staging
At long last the big day arrived and Renske & I headed off to Bolton to deliver the Bridal Bouquets
We showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly
We were looking forward to working with some great wedding professionals not least their lovely photographer Alexandra Holt, Make up was by Ruby Red Lips, hair by Kirsty Mainwaring, there was the most glorious gown from Grace Loves Lace, they had a fabulous band Radio Edit from Bolton
Renske & I headed off to St Michael's at Whitewell, we dressed the Lytch Gate with relaxed swags of fresh Delphiniums, Jasmine, Passion Flower, Scabious, Clematis, Hydrangeas and lots more besides

Just loving the relaxed way these flowers are arranged, we wanted them to look very natural almost as though they had grown there.

The front door was framed by two Milk Churns filled with fresh flowers

Spectacular English Delphiniums, Larkspur, Fragrant Stocks, Dahlias, Peonies and a whole host of summer gorgeousness filled the Milk Churns

Once inside this beautiful little church the guests were greeted with more floral loveiness on the font

Pew end posies of fresh Herbs, Grasses, Love in the Mist and Lavender decorated the aisle

The two stone urns framing the ceremony space were filled with spectacularly tall designs of Delphiniums, Larkspur and fragrant foliages

One of our gorgeous florists the lovely Renske

The Boutonnieres of fresh Lavender and Love in the Mist & Thistles were bound with jute

Mum's corsage of cobalt blue Delphiniums, Brodea and Rose buds designed to compliment her dress

Claire's super handsome Bride Groom Luke was first to have his boutonniere pinned to his lapel

I pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

Here come the girls... The Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their nude coloured gowns, their bridesmaids bouquets complimented the shade perfectly
Gorgeous summer blooms with fragrant Lavender, Sweet peas, Peonies, Love in the Mist and a whole host of other Meadow & Hedgerow flowers creating a relaxed and country gathered vibe

Our breathtakingly beautiful Bride the lovely Claire arriving at Church

Our Bride had a few fresh flowers in her hair too.

Massive Congratulations to Claire & Luke from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

I love how this bouquet looks so exquisitely summery!!

The celebrations moved next door to the marquee at The Inn at Whitewell, the Milk Churns were moved to take pride of place framing the marquee entrance

We'd created a tableau around the seating plan with stacked up crates, fresh fragrant herbs and a swag attached to our easel holding the plan

The marquee looked magnificent with spectacularly tall table designs created in a meadow style with English Delphiniums and Stocks reaching for the sky, fabulous trails of fresh Jasmine & Passion Flower tumbling down to the table top.

The Top Table featured an abundance of fragrant flowers including Lavender, Peppermint, Dill and Rosemary, with fresh Fox Gloves, Clematis, Jasmine, Peonies & Hydrangeas completing the look.

Fresh Herbs decorated each napkin

We'd used the Bridesmaid's Bouquets in small milk churns on some of the tables alongside the pew end posies

The Wedding Cake was dressed with slender garlands of Rosemary, Oregano, Peppermint,  Lavender and Eucalyptus and was topped with a small cluster of Delphinium Florets, Lavender and Love in the Mist

Our work here was done many thanks to Claire & Luke for choosing Flower Design to create their wedding flowers for them, we loved every second xxx
