Epic Posting Alert!!!! The Spectacular Storrs Hall Wedding Day of Steven & Ben

Just a head of their first anniversary, I am so delighted to share the beautiful flowers we created for these two gorgeous boys, Ben & Steven, these two were an absolute joy to look after florally, we thoroughly enjoyed our 'flower planning' meetings with them and of course getting to know them and sharing (in a small way) their very special day was a complete privilege.
They are both perfectionists and had a clear vision for their Lake District wedding, right from the start their plans were clear and concise and always included White Pumpkins, Succulents and Cotton Wool Flowers all of which were featured in the final collection...
Their beautiful Mood Board was clear and included a huge number of inspirational images designed to direct and inform our flower designs.
A visit to beautiful Storrs Hall was planned for a very rainy spring evening, we walked through the spaces Ben & Steven would be celebrating in and made some very specific floral plans.
Our final meeting ahead of the big day was to present a set of sample designs created exclusively for them,  creations for the dining tables needed to be quirky and organic yet smart and contemporary everyone was pleased with the designs!!! phew!! xx

A sample Groom's Maid's Bouquet created to compliment their blush pink gowns

At last the big day arrived, Jason and I were at Storrs Hall bright and early
The boys and their Groom's Maid's were all getting ready in The Boat House
The Groom's Maid's Bouquets were ready for presentation
The bouquets were beautiful filled to bursting with glorious autumnal materials

I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly

The rather special Succulent boutonnieres, each one uniquely crafted

The super proud Groom's Mum Elizabeth
Elizabeth's jacket corsage was fixed with a magnet and included Succulent Petals, Rose Buds, Hypericum & Snowberry with Astrantia
The seriously glamorous Groom's Mum Jean
Jean's flamboyant Wrist corsage featured Protea petals, Succulent, Astrantia, Snowberry and foliages
Each of the Boutonnieres were designed to fit their gentlemen wearers perfectly and super smart they all looked too

Steph's wrist corsage maintained the textured theme we'd created throughout the flowers and matched her navy blue ensemble perfectly

The setting for the ceremony at Storrs Hall is simply sublime

Swags of fresh Smilax dressed the backs of the chairs

A textured 'Floral Rope' featuring Proteas, Artichokes, Rose hips, Berries, Herbs, Succulents, Proteas, Mosses and Cotton Wool Flowers was laid across the Registrars table trailing onto the floor on either side

We do love making exquisitely textured garlands here at FD
