Hops, Succulents & Roses in Hazy Blues & Mushroom Shades for Rachel & Benjamin's Wedding at St Michael's Whitewell & Browsholme Hall

This wedding was truly a joy to work on from our very first appointment with our Bride & Groom and both Mums it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege. As a result, I have a ridiculous number of fabulous flower pictures to share with you and a few of some very, very beautiful people,  I do hope you'll enjoy them...
~
Shirl, Berto & I headed out early, after all we had quite a lot to do, as a consequence we missed out on seeing our Bride and her Bridesmaids as they hadn't arrived back from the hairdressers when we delivered the bouquets but thankfully the brilliant Brides Dad was on hand to take on all of my instructions.
So, the venue for the ceremony was one of my all time favourites the quaint, cosy and terribly well run St Michael's Church in Whitewell.
We'd dressed the small Lytch Gate on both sides with garlands of Hops vines and some sweet scented Roses, Herbs, Snowberries and Hydrangeas

Random collections of lanterns and Rose Petals decorated the pathway leading to the front door
On either side of this rustic Church door we'd placed our Enchanted Trees illuminated with candlelit glass baubles

candlelit glass bauble

Just inside the porch on both sides we'd placed some 'Secret Garden' and slightly 'Baroque' style vessels which were all filled with unique posies and trails of fresh Hops
The colours throughout this wedding were just so subtle, a gentle gathering of hazy blue, grey, greens with soft nudey pinks

We selected lots of seasonal materials to create a textured tapestry vibe

Inside this lovely Chapel more fresh flowers welcomed the guests and the perfume was quite simply heavenly, posies of fresh flowers, herbs and foliages dressed each alternate pew end lining the aisle
Fabulously full and decadent, yet natural and garden picked, these huge pedestals created the perfect framing for the ceremony
On the windowsills around Church we'd created very simple designs of hurricane lamps surrounded by trails of fresh Hops, Ivy and Mosses punctuated by posies of fragrant hand picked flowers
The Pew End posies included fresh Peppermint, Stocks, Roses, Dille, Zinnia, Astilbe and Dahlias

The fresh Zinnias added a completely different texture to the collection of blooms
I absolutely adore this Rose 'Bombastic' it's just so perfect and the colour is as near to nude as it's possible to be
This Rose is called Silverado and is a delightful shade

We lined up the Boutonnieres ready to pin them on to the all important guests as they arrived, small clusters of Love in The Mist, Succulents, Snowberries and Bombastic Roses
The Mother of the Groom's Wrist Corsage of fresh Succulents, rolled Metalina Rose Petals, Astrantia and Hydrangea florets with jewels and Eucalyptus
Our super handsome Bride Groom the lovely Ben complete with his rather special Boutonniere of fresh Lily of the Valley, David Austin's English Garen Roses, Love in the Mist, Succulents and fresh herbs

Each of the Groom's Men's Boutonnieres were individually created all included fresh Succulents and all were finished with natural jute but apart from that each one was quite unique
The very lovely Bride Groom's Father

The pedestal designs included a plethora of fresh flowers and foliages; Eremurus, Delphiniums, Roses, Dahlias, Hydrangeas, Astilbe, Astrantia, Snowberry, Dille, Amaranthus, Stocks and lots more loveliness besides
Our Shirl pinned on the gorgeous Grandma's corsage
The Groom's Mum's wrist corsage complimented her ensemble perfectly
The very lovely Grandparents had boutonnieres and corsages too
The fabulous photographer on the day was very lovely Teresa Cunningham of Teresa C Photography she was great to work with all day and I'm really looking forward to seeing her images
The Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company provided the transport and added to the look and atmosphere of the day
The lovely Sue 'Conductress' to Yorkshire Heritage Bus Company

We had a fabulous vicar for the day...

Our Bridesmaid's were next to arrive and they really did look stunning in their pale hazy blue gowns from Lottie's Bridal

The Bridesmaids bouquets toned perfectly with their blue gowns and included fresh English Garden Roses from David Austin, a magnificent Succulent Echeveria, Blue Love in he Mist, White Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Roses, Brassica, Albiflora, Sweet Peas, Peppermint, Snowberry and Senecio
Our Bridesmaids were all wearing fresh flowers in their hair, each bloom was individually wired and taped so it was easy to position

The super gorgeous Bride's Mum Jayne complete with her epaulette corsage
The Bride's Mum's Epaulette Corsage of fresh Lily of the Valley, Rolled Quicksand Rose  Petals, Astrantia, Hydrangea Florets and ivy leaves

Our breathtakingly beautiful Bride was the last to arrive with her uber proud Dad

I do love these moments of bridal preparation, last minute finishing touches performed by brilliant Bridesmaids

So so beautiful....

The hair flowers looked fabulous on the Bridesmaids

The Font was decorated with a fabulous luscious pedestal design

The beautiful Mum's delivered brilliant readings

Ginormous Congratulations to Rachel and Ben from all of the team here at Flower Design

The Bridal Bouquet was in soft shades of pale greys, hazy blues, mushroom tones and ivory shades, I included English Garden Roses from David Austin; Patience & Keira, other Rose varieties included; Metalina, Quicksand, 4Good, Silverado, Safi Blue and Bombastic with majestic Succulent Echeverias in Pinky and grey shades, Blue Love in he Mist, White Peonies, Lily of the Valley, Roses, Brassica, Albiflora, Sweet Peas, Peppermint, Snowberry and Senecio

The absolutely fabulous Bride Groom's Mum Pat complete with her very gorgeous Wrist Corsage

Woops!!!..

The celebrations moved on to the magical surroundings of Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn, this again is one of my all time favourite venues
Outside a vintage delivery bike was dressed with fresh flowers

Inside this breathtaking space candlelit designs and fairylit drapes dominated the space creating a magical and atmospheric look
Tall elegant crystal table stands were topped with a magnificent abundance of fresh flowers

Pieces of Grape Vine, blonde Pumpkins, potted Succulents and posies of fresh flowers were arranged around the base of each tall crystal table stands
Along the length of the top table an undulating design featuring a very carefully chosen selection of candles, Pumpkins, Succulents, Bark, Seed Trays,  Bird Cages, votives, slices of wood and posies of fresh flowers and berries with herbs and all sorts of interesting details
Our Baroque Candelabras continued the theme perfectly
Silver fruit bowls filled to overflowing with Brassicas, Roses, Hydrangeas, Berries and Herbs were surrounded by silver candlesticks, Pumpkins and Grape Vine

Each section of the top table was quite different from the next, we wanted to create a really interesting and textured vibe

The decanters of Port were all lined up

The wedding cake was absolutely stunning, an immaculate confection topped with a floral topper and corsages of fresh flowers on the lower tiers to balance the colour

Our Enchanted Trees dressed the 'Upper Barn" beautifully

Outside posies of fresh flowers decorated the out door tables perfectly continuing the theme

Thank you so, so much Jane for the incredible floral fantasy that you and your team created for Rachel and Ben. The stunning creations from the beautiful Lych gate to the enchanted trees at St Michaels porch and then into the fragrant church scented with stocks and herbs. The subtle pastel colourings of the incredible, original, bouquets and my own corsage were stunning. The attention to detail and the planning and support throughout we're excellent. All the wonderful arrangements were then transported magically to the tithe barn at Browsholme Hall to transform an already dramatic venue into a mediaeval, woodland wonderland. The top table was spectacular. The flowers were then boxed during the night, as if by elves for us to take home and continue to enjoy. Thank you all!
