The Rustic Woodland Inspired Wedding Day of David & Ben at Samlesbury Hall

For those of you who've visited my little office for appointments over the last few months will probably remember this fabulous mood board, I don't think I've ever had a mood board get quite so much attention and appreciation, on a number of occasions couples have asked if I could just use David & Ben's Mood board for their weddings!!!!

Inspired by their stunning mood board we invited them both back to FD HQ to view a set of samples we'd created especially for them

A woodland vibe prevailed I was asked if flowers could be kept to an absolute minimum, Enchanted Trees, Mossy mounds and Succulent gardens were the order of the day

The two Boutonnieres were created David & Ben's unique personalities very much taken into account

At long last the big day arrived and Jason & Berto headed off to the magical and seriously atmospheric Samlesbury Hall the venue for the marriage ceremony

Inside this magical building the scene was set with fresh ferns lining the aisle leading to the beautifully dressed Registrars Table and the two Tudor Rose Candelabras

Our Enchanted Tree looked truly magnificent

The Chandelier was dressed with a superb foliage garland with candlelit glass orbs suspended beneath

The Registrars table was dressed with a turf runner on top of which we'd placed collections of fresh materials set in glass and wooden vessels

The Groomsmaid's Bouquets included some beautiful English Garden Roses from David Austin 'Patience' with Love in the Mist, Scabious Seed Heads, Rosemary, Peppermint, Oregano and grasses

Kay's beautifully wild and woodland gathered bouquet complimented her moss green gown by Dessy

Completely Gorgeous, Ben was wearing a grey tail suit from Moss Bros with a moss green tie

Ben's Boutonniere featured a Succulent Aloe with Chasmanthium Latifolia, Panicum, Senecio, Albiflora, Astrantia and Eucalyptus leaves

Charlotte's nosegay was created as a smaller version of the Groomsmaids bouquets

David was looking super gorgeous and super excited...

David's Boutonniere featured a piece of contorted Hazel, fresh Rosemary, Rolled Galax Leaves, Albiflora, Eryngium and Scabious Seed heads, framed by Eucalyptus leaves

A transformation had taken place in the great hall, each table was dressed uniquely some were dressed with hessian table runners and others with turf table runners, posies of fresh herbs, foliages, grasses and seed heads were set in wooden vessels and recycled glass bottles

Stacked up seed trays with dried roots and tea light votives, mosses and succulents in terracotta and wooden vessels

The amazing wedding cake table dressed with our magnificent Enchanted Tree, mosses and Succulents

Chocolate Logs in small brown boxes dressed the Cake trees which were dressed with fresh herbs, moss initials and foliages
