Paul & Dean's Fabulous Spring Wedding Day at The Grand Hotel

What fun it's been planning these gloriously vibrant flowers with these two gorgeous folks, I have enjoyed every meeting with them, my brief was to create a setting worthy of the promises that would be made there, the flowers were to be bright and colourful and more than just a bit theatrical.

Paul & Dean made a fabulous Mood Board and then we created sample designs for them to see. Nothing I think prepared them for just how fabulous it all looked on the day in the magical surroundings of The Grand Hotel, where the day was run sublimely by the brilliant Caroline Shorrock who heads up a meticulous banqueting team

Two of our spectacular pedestals framed the Registrars table perfectly, and candlelit Hurricane Lamps surrounded by puddles of fragrant Rose Petals dressed the aisle

 Fresh Magnolia, Peach Blossom and Pussy Willow towered over the magnificent rainbow of coloured blooms in the heart of the design, vivid blue Hydrangeas were teamed with Viburnum Opulus, Roses, Stocks, Veronica, Mimosa, Hyacinth, Eryngium Thistles, Tulips and Phalaenopsis Orchids

 Strings of fairy lights illuminated the branches beautifully

Dean's rather special Boutonniere featured a fresh Phalaenopsis Orchid with Craspedia, Ranunculas, fresh fragrant Rosemary and Powder Blue Hydrangeas

 Paul's Boutonniere included a nod to Paul's Scottish heritage with fresh Heather and Thistles combined with Roses, Veronica, Delphinium and Acacia foliage

 Paul's Mum's corsage in shades of blue we included Royal Blue Delphinium Volkerfrieden, Powder Blue Hydrangeas, Midnight Blue Viburnum Tinus Berries and Mid-Blue Eryngium Thistles alongside fresh fragrant Rosemary and Acacia

 Dean's Mum's Corsage of Silver Grey Albiflora Berries, Snowflake Roses and Powder Blue Delphiniums

 Gaynor's Corsage of Pink Peach Blossom, Pink Ranunculas, Snowflake Roses with white Hydrangeas tied with black ribbon

 Jennie's Corsage of Silvery Pussy Willow with Grey Albiflora, Snowflake Rose Buds with Hydrangeas

 Boutonniere of Yellow Craspedia with Rose Buds and Eryngium Thistle

 One of the super handsome Groom's the lovely Paul complete with his rather special boutonniere

 Paul's Boutonniere featured fresh Heather and Eryngium Thistles which looked fabulous on his kilt suit

 Paul's lovely Mum complete with her luscious blue corsage

 Dean's Boutonniere included the rather flamboyant Phalaenopsis Orchid with pale blue Hydrangeas to compliment his blue suit and tie

 A series of glass goldfish bowls filled with fresh flowers dressed the Registrars table

 The adorable little Flower Girl carried this bright and vibrant Bouquet of Spring Flowers

 I included fresh Hyacinths, Viburnum Opuls, Tulips, Ranunculas, Mimosa, Veronica, Tulips and Eryngium with Eucalyptus and Rosemary

 The beautiful Flower Girl complete with beautiful little posy of fresh flowers

 Dean and his Mum headed down stairs to join the rest of the entourage

 Malcom & Kath were presiding over the proceedings on behalf of the Lancashire Registration Services

 Huge and Ginormous Congratulations to Dean & Paul from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

 Whilst everyone enjoyed the Spring Sunshine and celebratory drinks a transformation had taken place, a spectacular table dressed with magnificently tall vases topped with floral gloriousness

These magnificently tall vases included a fresh flower arrangement in the base with jewels and candlelit orbs hanging from the design perfectly

Along the length of the table Gold Fish Bowls in a variety of sizes were filled with illuminated jelly and topped with fresh flowers
