The Sensational Autumn Wedding Day of Karen & Tom at Hoghton Tower Featuring Stunning Images From Adam Riley

This really was a heavenly wedding, not only were Karen & Tom an absolute joy to work with, we loved their style, their ideas and their beautiful Mood Board which helped us to create some stunning designs and they were at the fabulous Hoghton Tower too, can a wedding get any better!!!.

Massive thanks to the brilliant Adam Riley for supplying so many of the images for this posting, this year we've had the pleasure of working with him on two fabulous weddings and he really was great pleasure to be around, his images here are exquisite and really do capture the true colour and atmosphere of the day.

Jason & Olivia presented the bridal bouquets in the usual FD Events style, I'd used a variety of textures and colours in these bouquets Glossy Aubergine Calla Lilies alongside soft Velvety Roses and Lacey Lily of the Valley, Spiky Astrantia and Pearly Black Viburnum Tinus Berries, I loved the fragrances created using a heady combination of fresh Herbs, Peppermint, Lavender, Rosemary and Eucalyptus

 Our stunningly beautiful Bride Karen
Jason showed Karen's fabulous Mum her Wrist Corsage of Snowflake Rose Buds with Astrantia and Berries

These next few images were taken by our Olivia but I'm sure you could tell,  Hoghton Tower was looking as majestic as ever, we'd lined the path with candlelit lanterns

A Collection of large Lanterns took pride of place on the large plinth in the centre of the courtyard
Our Lanterns and Our Bay Trees framed the doorway leading into the bar
In the bar the usual silk arrangements had been replaced by beautiful fresh designs of Roses, Hydrangeas and Brassicas

Glass Cubes filled with fresh flowers looked splendid on the table at the back of the ceremony room
The Cubes of fresh flowers were joined by a plethora of candlelit hurricane Lamps and free standing initials of our fabulous Bride & Groom

Candlelit Hurricane Lamps and fresh fragrant Rose Petals dressed the aisle too
On the Registrars table we placed Glass Cubes in a variety of sizes each one filled with individual single flowers

Karen's seriously hanndsome and super romantic Bride Groom Tom was first to have his rather special Boutonniere designed to match his Brides Bouquet pinned on
All of the Ushers and Groom's Men had their individually created Boutonnieres pinned on by Jason

The Bride's Mum looked truly wonderful when she arrived and her wrist corsage matched her outfit perfectly
These next few images are of course the wonderful Adam Riley's...
Magnificent Glass cubes filled with Autumnal Classic Hydrangeas in shades of Purples and Greens

 Beautiful Purple Brassica

These next three images are Olivia's they capture the Bridal Bouquet perfectly, the shades were so gorgeous and matched the surroundings and of course Karen's beautiful gown

 Back to Adam's wonderful shots

Massive Congratulations to Karen & Tom from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

Whilst Adam was taking these wonderful shots of our Bride & Groom and the guests were enjoying a wonderful drinks reception, a transformation was taking place in the Great Hall at Hoghton Tower.
The tables were dressed with a combination of high and low table designs, sumptuous Candelabras and Candlelit Hurricane Lamps surrounded by fragrant wreaths of fresh flowers and herbs

The stunning cake was created in three flavours it was created by the fabulous Rebecca formally of Chokies in St Annes and each one was dressed with it's own cake topper graduating in size

Loved the table plan (Back to our images now)
One of our magnificent Baroque style candelabras created without any trailing components as per the brief, I do like this compact style and it certainly makes for a clear view across the tables

The Hurricane Lamps were surrounding by a luscious wreath of Roses, Hydrangeas, Calla Lilies and Brassicas along with a sweet scented selection of fresh herbs

The top table design was created using four low cubes which ensured the design remained low enough for everyone to get a clear view of our Bride & Groom
The four cubes were each filled with fresh flowers designed to meld together to create one form

The top "Cake Topper" included Hydrangeas, Roses, Astrantia and fresh Oregano
On the Chocolate Cake a corsage of Roses and Hydrangeas
On my personal favourite the lemon cake a Corsage of Calla Lily, Roses and Hydrangeas

This really is one of the most magnificent banqueting halls ever
Now filled with the guests in Adam Riley's images ...

Huge thanks to Karen and Tom for choosing Flower Design Events to create their wedding flowers and also to Adam Riley for supplying such beautiful images for us to use!!
